Biography
Dr. Ge graduated from Shandong University School of Medicine in 1986. He has
done clinical and research fellowships at Shandong University, Oregon Health
Sciences University and Wake Forest University. He completed his residency in
Pediatrics in St Vincent’s Hospital Medical Center, and a pediatric cardiology
fellowship at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Denver
Children’s Hospital. Dr. Ge was faculty at University of Iowa/Children’s
Hospital of Iowa, and Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s
Hospital/Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital.
Dr. Ge’s clinical interest includes: 1) Congenital and acquired heart
diseases from fetuses to adolescents; 2) Cardiovascular imaging, including
echocardiography, CT, and CMR; 3) Cardiovascular genetics, including DMD, MFS,
TAAD, SCD; and 4) cardiovascular disease prevention in children.
Dr. Ge’s research interest includes: 1) Novel cardiovascular imaging
technologies and algorithms, e.g. 3D echocardiography, myocardial deformation
imaging, etc; 2) Pathophysiology of genetic cardiomyopathy and heart failure in
DMD and SCD; 3) Targeted drug and gene therapy using ultrasound targeted
micro-bubbled destruction. He has published over 160 manuscripts and abstracts
in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Ge is a Top US Doctor by US News and World Report in 2011, 2012, and
2013.
His research has been supported by NIH, AHA, etc. He is on the AHA
Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology and other Grant Review Study Sections.
He is the Associate Editor of Echocardiography and an ad hoc reviewer for
Circulation, JACC, AHA, AJC, Heart, Circulation CV Imaging, JACC Imaging, etc.
Dr. Ge is the Immediate-Past President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees
of CNAHA.
Dr. Ge has trained and mentored over 50 pediatric cardiology fellows and 20
Chinese physicians, some of whom have become national and international leaders
in pediatric cardiology, echocardiography, etc.

葛医生1986年毕业于山东大学医学院,曾先后在山东大学、俄勒冈健康科学大学和维克森林大学从事临床和实验室研
究。他在圣文森特医院医学中心完成儿科住院医师培训,在科罗拉多健康科学中心及丹佛儿童医院完成儿科心脏病学专科医师培训之后先后任职于衣阿华大学/衣阿 华儿童医院、贝勒医学院/得克萨斯儿童医院和得克萨斯心脏研究所/卢克主教医院。
葛医生的临床特长包括:1)胎儿到成人的先天性心脏病;2)心血 管影像,包括超声心动图、CT和CMR;3)心血管遗传学,包括杜氏型肌营养不良(DMD)、马凡综合征(MFS)、胸主动脉瘤(TAAD)和镰刀型贫血 (SCD)的心血管并发症;4)心血管疾病的早期预防和干预。
葛医生的研究方向包括:1)心血管影像新技术及方法,例如三维超声心动图、心肌应变成像;2)DMD和SCD发生遗传性心肌病和心衰的病理生理学;3)应用超声介导微泡空化的靶向药物和基因治疗。
葛医生是历界(2011,2012,2013年)《美国新闻与世界报道》评选的“美国最佳医生”之一。
其 研究目前受NIH、AHA等资助,并担任AHA生物医学工程和生物技术部及其他经费资助部门的评审。他是《Echocardiography》副主编、 《Circulation》、《JACC》、《AHA》、《AJC》、《Heart》、《Circulation CV Imaging》、《JACC Imaging》等多本杂志的特别评审专家;还是《Pediatric
Cardiology》的编委顾问委员会、《Journal
of American Journal of Echocardiography》的编委会成员。
葛医生是“北美中华心脏学会
(Chinese American Academy of Cardiology)” 董事会共同主席及“美国华人心脏病协会”
刚刚卸任的主席和现任董事会主席。
葛医生目前已培训指导50余名美国儿科心脏病临床专科医生以及20名留美的中国医生,其中有些已成为国内外儿科心脏病学、心超等领域的带头人。
葛医生目前已经发表或出版160余篇经过同行评议的全文、摘要、及专著。
